Eternity
Out of love for flowers and etherealness, I created a photo series called Eternity.
This is a collection of photographs of frozen flowers that always surprise me with their beauty in sub-zero temperatures.I often hear the question where the idea of freezing flowers comes from.
I grew up in a small mountain village, full of forests, rivers and meadows. Regardless of the season, I spent a lot of time outside, playing with my friends, but also creating “pictures under the glass”.
It consisted in arranging various compositions of flowers, grass, leaves or pebbles under glass, these were larger pieces of window glass.
I liked to arrange such “pictures” under a tree in the forest. When the work was finished I covered it with earth, and the next day I dug up my treasure and was delighted to play for the next hours creating something completely new.
In retrospect, I can see that the amazing element in this process was the silence.
Silence and peace are inherent (are inseparable) in my photographic works.
